We've been waiting, but the day has finally arrived: Motorola has unleashed its Moto X Developer Edition smartphone. The Moto X Developer Edition has been unveiled by US telco Verizon, and arrives in a special black and woven white Developer Edition design.

So when you flip the Moto X Developer Edition onto its back, right at the bottom you'll notice a 'Verizon' logo and beneath that the glorious 'Developer Edition' words. You can nab the Moto X Developer Edition 32GB model for $649 unlocked, which isn't too bad at all. Considering the Nexus 4 was just $199 before it disappeared from the Google Play Store to never return again, the Moto X Developer Edition might not be too popular at $649.
