Star Citizen feels like that 'little game that could' continuing to rake in more and more money as time goes on. Roberts Space Industries' space title has added a new stretch goal if it reaches $21 million.

If Star Citizen reaches $21 million, something I think it will easily do, the developer will add a new mechanic, a salvage mechanic. Roberts Space Industries says that this new mechanic is pretty much a career for a gamer to take on. A salvage career will feature its own story elements and "universe-shaping endgames."

Salvage mechanics will float through the galaxy using the flight and first-person shooter features in search of the darkest and most valuable secrets in the great, dark beyond.
