Today, Mushkin announced the launch of its highly anticipated Scorpion Deluxe PCIe solid state drive. Mushkin says that the new Scorpion Deluxe outpaces its competitors in both speed and performance thanks to quad SandForce SF-2281 controllers and unthrottled IOPS. The new drive clocks in at 2150 MB/s read and 1900MB/s write, making it an extreme performer in any system you throw it in.

The new Scorpion Deluxe is available in 240GB, 480GB, 960GB, and 1920GB capacities, of which all boast just over 100,000 4K read and write IOPS and 1 million hours of MTBF. The PCIe SSD also includes a three-year warranty and is available now in the US at RAMExperts.com and will roll out worldwide on September 16 at select electronic retailers.

"The Scorpion Deluxe PCIe SSD is a result of the desire to create and produce revolutionary components that maximize performance. We are looking to enhance and accelerate the work process -- be it for creative production or database applications," said Nicolas Villalobos, the Director of Global Marketing for Mushkin, Inc. "We are pleased to be able to add the Scorpion Deluxe PCIe SSD to our existing line of now available innovative technologies."
