If Star Citizen reaches $20 million, first-person combat to be added

If the $20 million stretch goal for Star Citizen is reached, RSI will add first-person combat

Star Citizen has been in the news quite a lot, but that's what you get for being a game developed by the mastermind who made Wing Commander. Cloud Imperium Games will add a first-person combat mode if Star Citizen passes $20 million in funding.

If it reaches the $20 million goal, Cloud Industry Games will add "First person combat on select lawless planets. Don't just battle on space stations and platforms ... take the fight to the ground!" Star Citizen kicked off on Kickstarter in October last year, and just last month reached $15 million in total funding.

Right now total funding sits at $18 million, and was $17 million last week - adding $1 million in crowdfunding in just a week is something worth talking about. Hitting $20 million should be no problem, so Cloud Industry Games has said that it will continue adding goals once it hits $21 million in funding.
