IFA 2013 - 7-inch and 8-inch tablets are one of the fastest growing segments in the Android tablet market at the moment. Because of this, it's no surprise that ASUS has released an 8-inch version of its Memo Pad slate. ASUS unveiled the Memo Pad 8 at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, Germany, this week and our own Johannes Knapp was on hand to catch it on video.

The 8-inch Memo Pad features a 1280x800 display and a quad-core 1.6GHz processor that is augmented by a Mali400 MP4 GPU. The device features a 5-megapixel rear shooter that is more than capable of capturing life's moments as they happen. Upfront has a 1.2-megapixel camera that should handle video conferencing and selfie duty quite adequately. Everything is kept alive by a 3,950mAh battery, while Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB handle the connectivity duties.
