Digg for Android arrives in the Google Play Store, features Reader

Digg for Android finally arrives with Reader functionality, but is its too late?

Today Digg launched its first Android App, which very closely matches its iOS counterpart. The new app features support for Digg's new Reader service, a RSS feed importer designed to replace the now defunct Google Reader. The app is available for download now in the Google Play Store.

The new app also allows users to share their Diggs, and RSS stories on read-it-later apps as well as social networks. Unfortunately those who like to use the "unread-only" filter will be a little disappointed as it is not present in the android application. Personally I feel that this Digg is a little too late to the party with its App as Feedly is doing a wonderful job on my PC, Tablet, and HTC One at serving up content from my 100+ feeds.
