It looks like Nokia's rumored Windows RT-based tablet is enjoying the codename of "Sirius" and could see a launch event on September 26 in New York City. The Finnish company is looking at pricing the new slate to better compete with the IPad.
We should expect bright red housing on the Sirius slate, which matches Nokia's Lumia-based smartphones, while the tablet itself will be thinner than the iPad, and lighter, too. The 10.1-inch display will reportedly feature a 1920x1080 resolution, with increased brightness for outdoor visibility. Microsoft's Windows RT needs some love, so Nokia will give it to them and you, with its Sirius slate.
Inside Sirius, we should expect Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 SoC, which is a 2.2GHz quad-core part - no slouch by any means. 2GB of RAM will back up the Qualcomm SoC while battery life is being pegged at 10 hours with an additional battery pack provided in the keyboard dock that is rumored to ship with Sirius.
