No one quite understood how Verizon managed to wait five months before launching the HTC One on its network, but apparently the company has learned its lesson and will launch Motorola's latest offering in just a few days.
In a Twitter post today, the company announced that it would release the Motorola Moto X smartphone this coming Thursday, August 29. The phone will start at $199.99 with a two-year contract. However, it will not be immediately available in Verizon stores. Customers who must have the device as soon as possible will be forced to order it online, with a retail shelf launch happening sometime in the coming weeks.
