We can expect two new smartphone releases from Apple before the New Year rings in, with the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S both pegged to be released in the next couple of months, but what about the iPhone 6?
I've been begging for a while now that Apple should provide a bigger screen, or more options, with its next-gen iPhone release and it looks like my wishes are finally coming true. Citi Research has said in a note to investors that we should see a "Mini Retina", which is something Citi Research's Glen Yeung calls the "Mini Retina a 2014 Event."
We should expect the larger iPhone 6 in the first half of 2014, where I'm guessing the display will be increased to around 4.5 inches. What I would really like to see, is Apple release a 4-, 4.5- and 5-inch iPhone 6, all at the same time. This would keep its brand structure around the iPhone label, instead of having to do something like Samsung has done with the Galaxy S range, then the Galaxy Note range, and so on.
