Flash Memory Summit 2013 - Larry Chisvin, the VP of strategic Initiatives at PLX Technolgy, stopped by the TweakTown booth to discuss the latest developments from their company.

 

 

PLX enjoys 65-70% market share of PCIe express switches, providing them with a leadership position in the market.

Much of the new advancements around PCIe involve the move to utilizing PCI Express-based SSDs. This will allow for deployment of PCIe SSD's as a backplane fabric to allow a number of enhanced features.
