Flash Memory Summit 2013 - Earlier this week, Pure Storage's Matt Kixmoeller stopped by the TweakTown booth to talk SSD storage with our own Paul Alcorn. Matt is the company's VP of storage, and talks about how Pure Storage is an all flash array company whose goal is to enable an all-flash data center.

Kixmoeller went into detail on how the company uses consumer-grade MLC flash which enables them to keep the all-flash array lower in cost than in most cases, the traditional HDD-based array. This also allows Pure Storage to pack an incredible amount of storage into a space 90-percent smaller than traditional arrays.
