Flash Memory Summit 2013 - HGST's Director of Marketing Ulrich Hansen stopped by the TweakTown booth this week to talk about solid state storage and their new recent acquisition of VeloBit, a company that develops SSD caching software.

Ulrich said that this addition to the HGST enterprise has allowed them to begin offering a software layer to their SAS SSDs that allows them to offer a more comprehensive solution to their customers.

He went on to say that this new offering would greatly benefit those customers who are developing SSD and HDD integrated solutions within their network. He finished up the interview by talking about their second-generation of SSD products that were introduced back in April of this year.
