Flash Memory Summit 2013 - Seagate's Gutierrez on 600 Series SSDs

Seagate takes some time to talk about its 600 Series SSDs and how they are a good solution to notebook replacement drives, as well as the enterprise (NASDAQ:STX)

Flash Memory Summit 2013 - Earlier this week, we had the chance to stop by Seagate's booth at the 2013 Flash Memory Summit being held in Santa Clara, California where Seagate's Rafael Gutierrez took a few minutes to detail the company's 600 Series SSDs.

 

 

Gutierrez began by elaborating on the 600 series main applications. He said that they first is relative to the replacement of storage media in laptops and notebooks, while the second main application for the 600 series is the use in Data Center where power backup is not a major issue.

Paul mentions that the 600 Pro SSD is extremely power efficient and that it features varying levels of over provisioning and will stand up to heavy levels of write modes.
