Flash Memory Summit 2013 - Yesterday HGST Director of Product Marketing for Mobile, Lenny Sharpe, stopped by the TweakTown booth to talk about storage within the mobile space. Sharpe talked about how the Ultrabook market reinvigorated the laptop storage conversation.

Paul also asked Lenny about the advantage of the dual drive approach in which an OEM uses an SSD for caching, while the HDD is used for mass storage.

Paul pointed out that there is more bang for your buck with the dual drive system because the capacities are not limited like in the SSDH solution.
