Today, LG launched its latest budget friendly Android-based smartphone, the Optimus L1 II. Unlike its much more powerful sibling the G2, this phone features some very low-end hardware specs. Featuring a 3-inch 240x320 pixel QVGA display, the L1 II is powered by a single-core QUALCOMM Snapdragon processor.

The Optimus L1 II packs in 512 MB of RAM, which may keep things running smoothly but it's highly doubtful. 4GB of internal storage is available to store all your photos, apps, and files and can be augmented with a microSD card up to 32GB. The phone features the usual compliments of 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, and A-GPS.

The rear-facing camera sports 2-megapixels, while an unspecified front camera is featured to handle all the self shots one could possibly want. Surprisingly, the Optimus L1 II runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, making it the most affordable Jelly Bean-based smartphone sold by LG. Finally, a 1,540mAh battery is on deck to power the device. This new offering from LG will set you back $99 and is expected to launch in Vietnam first with a worldwide rollout following shortly thereafter.
