If you're been waiting for a price drop on AMD's dual-GPU Radeon HD 7990, your time has come. The HD 7990s were selling at $999, but are now enjoying an official price of $799 from AMD.

The $799 price is AMD's MSRP, so partners can enjoy even lower prices, with consumers lapping it up. Partners like PowerColor and XFX have now priced their respective reference HD 7990 models at just $699 and $699, respectively. HIS, GIGABYTE and VisionTek are all $749 and lower, without rebates.

So in reality, the $200 price cut is actually more like $250-$330.
