New report suggests that Apple is testing larger iPad and iPhone designs

Apple said to be testing mystery iPad and iPhone with much larger screens than current models

| Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Jul 22, 2013 11:57 pm

Earlier this morning, the Wall Street Journal posted a report that claims that Apple is testing a large format iPad as well as an iPhone with a much larger screen. The Journal cited officials that work with Apple's Asian suppliers. The report went on to say that the larger iPad would feature a screen that is slightly less than 13 inches. Supposedly an iPhone with a screen larger than 4 inches is also in the works.

As always, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt as talks of a larger iPad and iPhone have been popping up ever since both products were released. It seems like every month we hear a new rumor about a new mystery iPad or iPhone that features a super large-screen. The report went on to say that Apple has already entered into mass production of a new iPad that sports the same 9.7-inch screen as the current model, but is much thinner and lighter.
