The young Jack (Nicholas Hoult) is made an offer by a local monk; that in return for his horse, the beans he possesses can be on-sold for a large sum. To Jack's surprise the beans germinate, causing an immense beanstalk to sprout into the sky and into another world way above the clouds.

Director Bryan Singer's take on the classic Jack and the Beanstalk tale in Jack the Giant Slayer aims to breathe new life into the story, utilising the latest advances in visual effects and 3D technology.
