Wallets begin emptying as the Steam Summer Sale begins

Steam Summer Sale has started!

| Gaming News | Posted: Jul 11, 2013 7:32 pm

Steam has just kicked off its highly anticipated annual Summer Sale. The event will last from July 11 through July 22 with new discounts on major titles every day. So now would be a good time to reassess your budget and what is really important to you and by that, I mean be prepared to buy lots of games.

Today's deals include MARS for $13.39, Defiance for $13.59, Left 4 Dead 2 for $4.99, and many more discounted titles. Additionally, the Summer Sale includes flash sales that last for eight hours each. Right now you can pick up Dragon Age Orgins for $8.99, GRID 2 for $29.99, and Skyrim for just $20.99.

Steam is also letting the community vote on which games they would like to see highly discounted. Users can vote using the community choice box on the Steam main page for which game gets the biggest discount. At the moment, the three games in the running are Dishonored, Boarderlands 2, and Farcry 3. The Steam Store page can be accessed through the website, but the dedicated application appears to be experiencing technical difficulties.
