Samsung debuts dual-OS ATIV Q with a QHD+ (3200x1800) 13.3-inch display

At today's London press event held by Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant unveiled a new ATIV Q convertible notebook that is convertible in more ways than one. Not only does it feature the traditional laptop to tablet conversion, it also allows users to switch between Windows and Android operating systems. It's the best of both worlds in one device.

The ATIV Q features an incredible QHD+ display that measures just 13.3 inches diagonally. QHD+ features a resolution of 3200x1800, which is an incredible amount of pixels to pack into a 13.3-inch screen. The pixel density is 275ppi, which is less than smartphones, but 2.8 times higher than full HD displays of the same size.

 

Diving into the technical specifications, we find that the ATIV Q is powered by Intel's new Haswell-based Core i5 processor with on-board HD4400 graphics. It features 4GB of DDR3L and 128GB of storage thanks to an SSD. Even with those impressive technical specs, Samsung says the device is capable of up to 9 hours of battery life.
