Google is looking to get Chromebooks into the hands of more consumers. As part of this push, Google is expanding the availability of Chromebooks by partnering with more retail outlets. This means Chromebooks will be available in 3 times more retailers, bringing the total up to over 6,600 stores with Chromebooks.

In the United States, Walmart and Staples will be joining the Chromebook retail chain. Walmart will begin selling the Acer Chromebook with a 16GB SSD for just $199 in around 2,800 stores nationwide. Staples will be selling Chromebooks from HP, Acer, and Samsung nationwide across all of its 1,500+ stores.

Around the globe, Google is continuing to increase availability with new partners and retail locations so you can try before you buy. It looks as though Chromebooks are here to stay for the foreseeable future.
