Acer vice president for the EMEA region that that the company don't see Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 OS as a safe bet. They want to wait and see how the mobile OS goes before they push investment into it and produce a handset for Windows Phone 8. The Acer exec said "We want to be there. But as someone who is growing up in the industry, we have to take bets and right now we know that [Android] works. For us, taking {a bet on Windows Phone] is not the right decision this year."
