ABIT engineers enable PAT on IS7-G Springdale mobo

By: (more) | Motherboards News | Posted: Jun 6, 2003 6:51 am

Lyle from ABIT just let us know that their engineers have managed to enable PAT on their IS7-G Springdale motherboard with a simple BIOS update.

Just like ASUS with their P4P800 motherboard, ABIT don't seem to be too scared or concerned about what Intel might do about enabling PAT on the Springdale which brings performance on par with the more expensive Canterwood.

Taipei, Taiwan, June 5, 2003-In a spectacular feat of engineering prowess confirming ABIT's position head and shoulders above other motherboard companies, the ABIT Engineers have created a BIOS for the IS7-G that unlocks the performance of the 865PE chipset.

How to Get ABIT's Game Accelerator for the IS7-G

1 Go to http://www.abit.com.tw to download BIOS IS7g_13.b03
2 Load Optimized Defaults
3 Advanced Chipset Features
4 Performance Mode: Street Racer or F1
5 Save to CMOS and EXIT
