Motorola is planning on releasing stock Android devices that are sized "just right." Instead of following the idea that "bigger is better," Motorola has decided to follow the idea that "better is better." At least that's what Jim Wicks, Motorola's design chief, has said the first batch of devices will be.
It comes off as kind of weird to anyone who hears it for the first time, but there have been follow-up discussions and there's no issues with that at all. We've been spending the past eight months on this next generation of phones, and we've all seen positive feedback and collaboration around things.
We'll start to see devices that Google contributed to sometime in the second half of 2013. These devices should feature slimmer bezels and a range of sizes, though we expect the devices to be on the smaller side of the current range. We also expect these devices to feature a "wow" factor not present in current Motorola devices.
