Rumor: Apple iPhone 5S to feature 12MP sensor and improved low light functionality

| Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Apr 16, 2013 6:32 pm

Rumors about the iPhone 5S have surfaced that suggest the new Apple device will feature a 12-megapixel camera and improved low light functionality. It's not completely unexpected that Apple would up the ante in terms of the iPhone's camera, but remember that this is just a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Apple has previously used the S models to upgrade the camera, such as upgrading the iPhone 4S' camera to 8MP from 5MP in the iPhone 4. A 12MP sensor wouldn't bu unheard of in a device and might be just enough to set the iPhone 5S apart from other smartphones coming out.
