Intel has never been known for making boards that overclock really well, or are super rich in features. One thing they know how to do is to make a rock solid board.  Now they have some boards coming out aimed at the performance, desktop market. From black PCB's to on board Optical / Coaxial SPDIF out, these boards are looking pretty nice.

The new Intel D845PEBT2 Desktop Board is Intel's latest motherboard based on the Intel 845PE chipset. With a silky black printed circuit board, the D845PEBT2 is set to capture the hearts of even the most narcissistic user out there.
