Specifications for a planned Facebook smartphone, produced by HTC, have leaked out. The new device will be the second mid-range device to be produced and released with a focus on the social networking site. Possibly going by the model name Myst, the new device's specs have been provided by a previously reliable source.

The processor is said to be a dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8960 paired with 1GB of RAM. The display is of the mid-range 4.3-inch 720p variety. Internal storage measures up at 16GB and cannot be expanded with a microSD card. The rear camera is a somewhat disappointing 5MP and the front comes in at 1.6MP.

For a Facebook-centric phone, one would expect it to be equipped with an exceptional camera as Facebook is pushing visual content. The device is expected to launch in the United States sometime in the spring running Android 4.1.2.
