LeakedTT: HTC Tiara to run Windows Phone GDR2

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Feb 28, 2013 4:31 pm

The website Unwired View has released what it says are the specifications for HTC's upcoming Tiara, which will run Windows Phone 8 GDR2 - an updated version of Microsoft's current generation mobile operating system.

Uwired View said the information comes from the infamous evleaks Twitter feed, which has brought us similar leaks in the past. The HTC Tiara is said to feature a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon, 4.3" WVGA LCD, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP rear and 1.6MP cameras and an 1800mAh battery.

The hardware specs are quite similar to the HTC One SV with just the rear camera and the OS being the main differentiators. We are left wondering if this device will share any of the design features of the just unveiled flagship HTC One.

In any event, if this leak is true, we now know that we will be seeing a next generation Windows Phone 8 phone from HTC. The question is, will HTC be able to steal any of the momentum away from Nokia's Lumia line of Windows Phones?
