RumorTT: Samsung having issues with Exynos 5, may cause Galaxy S4 to come with Snapdragon
A report from the hit-and-miss online newspaper DigiTimes is saying that Samsung is having issues with power consumption and temperature on their new eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor. This was previously rumored to be the CPU powering the next-gen flagship mobile device, though this report says this will not be the case.
These problems have apparently resulted in Samsung turning to the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. DigiTimes' report says that the CPU will be a quad-core Snapdragon 600, which is the same processor used in the new HTC One. Of course, this report could be wrong, so we'll have to wait until March 14 when it is rumored Samsung will unveil the new smartphone.
