Internet Malfunction - Major DDoS Attacks
If you're finding it hard to reach many of your favorite websites, especially in the United States and Canada, it is not your ISP at fault. A massive Distributed Denial of Service attack took place earlier today taking out 5 of the 13 root Internet servers, up to 10 with massive packet loss, or down altogether, which is resulting in a whole bunch of inaccessible websites.
Luckily for us, TweakTown does not seem to be affected by these attacks, at least for me anyway down under.
We are monitoring massive Distributed Denial of Service attacks all over the U.S. tonight starting at around 11:30 PM CST. As many as 5 of the 13 root nameserver have been down, up to 10 with massive packet loss (xx%)More information @ WebHostingTalk Forum
