PlayJam wraps up successful GameStick Kickstarter campaign to the tune of $650k

When PlayJam first launched its Kickstarter campaign, they were only hoping to receive about $100k in funding to get the GameStick, a small yet powerful Android based gaming device, enough funds into production. Today they wrapped up that campaign to the tune of $647,658.

With the Kickstarter campaign over, all PlayJam has to do is deliver on its promise to ship about 5,500 GameStick's by April including additional docking stations and special editions of the device itself. While that may seem like a tall order, we are sure that the manufacturing process has already begun.

"We are overwhelmed, excited, grateful, thrilled and everything in between." says Anthony Johnson, CMO, PlayJam. "The campaign has been an incredible success with support from thousands of backers worldwide but this is just the beginning. The feedback from the Kickstarter community has been invaluable in shaping the final product and we will continue to seek input from those that supported us to ensure continued innovation ahead of a global retail launch."
