RumorTT: Expect a 6.44-inch Sony smartphone or tablet

RumorTT: Production line leaks show off a 6.44-inch screen for an unnamed Sony tablet or smartphone

It looks like we should expect a better 2013 for Sony, with the latest tease coming from Chinese forum Digi-wo, with a picture posted by a member claiming that the part in the picture below is part of a 6.44-inch, 1080p Sony smartphone or tablet.

Of course this could be fake, which is why we've slapped a 'RumorTT' label on the post. It looks like the usual production line leak shot, with the screen itself looking right on that mid-6-inch size - but we could be looking at someone with small hands, too. There's no physical buttons which means it should be headed to Android land, but it doesn't look like any previous Sony phone on the market right now.

We're seeing more and more 5-inch and bigger smartphones, so I think we're going to see more players in the market unveiling bigger smartphones. While the market is begging for them, I don't see a problem with manufacturers playing to consumer demand, but don't just release a big smartphone and expect it to sell, make it different - be unique.
