Facebook has announced that in 48 hours it will revoke voice messaging app Voxer's access to Facebook's identity system. The social network cites direct competition as the reason for the relationship breakup.
Facebook notified Voxer earlier today that it would be suspending Voxer's users ability to find and connect with their Facebook friends via Voxer. This very well may be a death blow to the company who has mostly relied on Facebook as its main user base.
"We were a bit taken aback because we never thought of them as competition...Facebook stated that they view our service, with its tens of millions of users, as a "competitive social network." said Voxer CEO Tom Katis What do you think about Facebook basically shutting down a company with only 48 hours notice?
