Thoroughbred + EPoX KT400 = Overclocking Goodness
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAWhile playing around with some new hardware, Mike "Darthtanion" Wright discovered that he could multiplier overclock his Athlon Thoroughbred 1800+ processor with an Epox 8K9A2 motherboard (VIA KT400) without having done any bridge modifications to the factory locked processor.
What does this mean? Well, we can only assume EPoX has purposely allowed us enthusiasts to bypass the locking protection in the processor itself, through the motherboard, and hopefully all future motherboards from the Taiwanese manufacturer.
