CES 2013 - When the Kickstarter project Pebble broke $10 million in crowd-sourced funding, a lot of critics said that they would never succeed, but it seems that the people behind the project have succeed and will begin shipping units to its funders by January 23rd. The guys behind Pebble announced the shipping date at their booth at CES 2013.

The Pebble is just one of many so called "Smart Watches" to hit the market lately. Apple and Microsoft have both been rumored to be working on their own intelligent watch projects. For Pebble, it is not the time keeping ability that has appealed to so many, but rather its e-paper display and API that will allow for app developers to create some cool apps for the device.

Pebble supports both Android and iOS and is able to connect to them through low-power Bluetooth 4.0. It includes iOS 5 and iOS 6 support out of the box and can display many notifications already.
