IBM Bodes Farewell to OS/2

| Posted: Dec 12, 2002 3:55 am

Although IBM's OS/2 isn't exactly a household name, it has been around for quite some time. IBM has continued to upgrade the capabilities of this server-based operating system, but has finally decided to call it quits.

A notice posted yesterday by IBM said that on the 12th of March 2003, IBM will stop marketing OS/2 Warp V4 and Warp Server for e-business programs.

Program services will be available until December 31st, 2004.

The full list of products that IBM is withdrawing is here.
