OMGTT: Microsoft says more than 750,000 Xbox 360s sold in US during Black Friday

The Xbox 360 is still selling incredibly well, or at least so Microsoft claims. The console has enjoyed being at the top of the heap, at least in terms of sales, for 22 consecutive months, though many thought that the Wii U could possibly stop this from being the case. However, with sales numbers like this, it looks as though it might achieve 23 consecutive months at #1.

Microsoft has said that the Xbox 360 saw more than 750,000 sales during the Black Friday sales period. More impressively, all of those sales came from the United States. Redmond says that Halo 4 is doing better than expected, but they declined to give any sort of specific number. "Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription card sales increased more than 50 percent."

The console is incredibly old as far as consoles go, and it has way outlived its expected life. Microsoft has managed to keep it fresh and new by updating the looks, hardware, and by bringing out the Kinect. They've also made it into a home entertainment hub, which has also helped extend its life.
