Angry Birds Star Wars gameplay tease, oh Rovio
November 8 is nearly here, which will fling forth the release of Rovio's Angry Birds Star Wars game. Today brings another gameplay trailer, showing off that the birds all look like characters from the Star Wars movies, all with Star Wars-themed abilities.
The red bird is capable of spinning with a lightsaber, taking down structures and deflecting fire from Stormpiggies (I never thought I'd ever type the word "Stormpiggies", but here we are). The yellow bird is a Han Solo-like character, capable of strafing runs over the course of his trajectory, while the Obi-wan Kenobi (the black bird) will be able to use a force push just before impact.
The egg-laying bird drops an R2-D2 unit now which electrocutes everything within a certain radius. There's also a pink bird at play that is dressed up as Princess Leia, who also has the ability to shoot some kind of laser.
