Acer have just announced that they are to start selling their Iconia Tab A110 in the US on October 30 for $229.99. Acer's Iconia Tab A110 sports a 7-inch 1024x600-pixel display, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as its stock OS.

Inside the 7-inch slate, we find NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, microSD card for expandable storage, microHDMI output, and a touted 7.5-hour battery life. We're also looking at a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and no rear-facing camera - similar to that of the Nexus 7.

All of this arrives in a thin table that weighs 0.86 pounds and is just half an inch thick. Senior director of product marketing for connected devices, Acer America, Paul Tayar, says:

Today's consumers are increasingly mobile and want easy and instant access to entertainment at all times. The Iconia Tab A110 is another example of how Acer is meeting the needs of consumers, by providing tablet form factors that combine portability and performance for fun and gaming, at affordable prices.
