Paceblade launches Tablet PC

By: (more) | Posted: Nov 5, 2002 3:41 pm

We have more new product news for you today, this time direct from Paceblade Technology. This Taiwanese start up first introduced their PaceBook Tablet PC at Computex Taiwan earlier this year where we were lucky enough to fiddle around enthusiastically with an early sample in our hotel room with Paceblade's Dave Mao. I was personally quite impressed by the unit and what it was able to do, more so now with its Digital Ink feature.

Today Paceblade announced their PaceBook Tablet PC, a 3-in-1 mobile, pen tablet computer which the actual launch of the product will coincide with the release of Microsoft's Windows XP Tablet PC Edition on November 7.

An additional feature with the new operating system is the addition of pen-driven input and "digital ink," giving users the option to interface with their personal computers much as they would with a pad of paper and a pen, but with greater flexibility. Users can take notes and mark up documents in their own handwriting.
I've posted the Press Release and several pictures in our New Products Forum for all to see.
