Matrox unveil DS1 Thunderbolt-based docking stations for MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs
Matrox have announced their DS1 series of Thunderbolt-based docking stations for Apple's MacBook Pro and MacBook Air notebooks. Matrox's DS1 Thunderbolt docking stations will allow Thunderbolt-powered Apple products to connect additional peripherals to the notebook, through a single Thunderbolt connection.

From here, a user can connect a slew of devices, and have a single cable feeding out to their MBP or MBA. The DS1s can connect to a DVI or HDMI display, a full-size keyboard, as well as a mouse. They sport a gigabit Ethernet port, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, microphone input, as well as speaker or headphone output. The Matrox DS1s features an aluminum construction, and compact frame.

The Matrox DS1/DVI and Matrox DS1/HDMI will be available across the world through authorized dealers toward the end of the year with a price of $249.
