Shuttle SB51 XPC Reviews @ Sudhian and Tech Report

By: (more) | Posted: Oct 31, 2002 1:54 pm

Small Form Factor PC's are becoming increasingly popular recently with many companies opting to produce their own small computers. Today an NDA of sorts must have lifted on Shuttle's new SB51 XPC based on Intel's 845GE for the Pentium 4 platform as both Sudhian Media and The Tech Report posted reviews of this new unit from the company who, in my opinion, is leading the way along the yellow brick rode.

Not long ago we brought you a preview of Shuttle's latest SFF PC - the SB51. Shuttle has been doing very well with their XPC's lately and if I remember the numbers correctly they shipped approximately 75,000 last quarter and are aiming for 100,000 for this quarter. If I'm wrong I'm sure Cameron will correct me. The XPC has been very successful for Shuttle and there are more models and designs coming. The SB51 is basically the same thing as the SS51, but this time using an Intel chipset and graphics solution. This may appeal more to corporations who feel more comfortable using strictly Intel chipsets, but that doesn't mean that it's not a great box for all of you enthusiasts. Read on for info and performance of the SB51 XPC.
