Fans of the upcoming Nintendo WiiU will likely be a bit sad in learning that they will have to shell out an additional $10 over the price of Wii games for new WiiU games. The creators of Mario have confirmed with Kotaku that the price for WiiU games will be $59.99, a price which is in line with the other consoles currently out.

Wii games cost a standard $49.99. The Nintendo WiiU is due out November 18 in the United States for a base cost of $299. Currently, the launch only has two confirmed games: Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U. Nintendo Land is a theme park filled with Nintendo-themed attractions. It's akin to Wii Sports in that it is basically a bunch of mini games to demo the system.
