Of course, the Apple leaks continue ahead of tomorrow's press conference and now a French website has leaked pictures of a mock-up of the iPad Mini. It's not exactly clear what the use of this mock-up would be, whether it is for accessory design or some other use, but what is clear is we have pictures that we can show you.

The announcement of the iPad Mini is expected to come in early October, a few weeks after tomorrow's press conference. It's expected to cost less, feature a smaller screen, and increase Apple's market share. Apple needs to compete with Google's $199 Nexus 7 tablet along with other Android makers who are entering the space.

Apple also has to be careful with Windows 8 coming out as there will be a whole new wave of tablets coming out. An iPad Mini, sold at a cheaper price than the iPad, would help Apple increase this market share, or at least maintain the same as more tablets are released and purchased. Of course, all of this is still a rumor until an official announcement from Apple confirms the product. As of right now, they are denying it.
