The new iPad mini could be announced at Apple's event next week, but for now we'll report on some mock up shots of the smaller, 7.85-inch iPad sporting a much thinner bezel around its screen.

Apple.pro posted up the shots over the weekend, showing off a much thinner bezel, and it looks surprisingly hot. The mock-up makes the 7.85-inch slate look quite thin, and features the same, smaller dock connector that the new iPhone it rumored to have.

There's a few rumors going around at the moment, one that the new iPad mini would be unveiled at Apple's event on September 12, and secondly, it will have its own, separate event in October. Hopefully we'll see it at the event next week.
