As the rumored Apple press event gets ever closer, the rumors get ever fiercer. Today, a rumor is saying that the rumored iPad mini will launch at the September 12 press event. Wide availability of the device will occur during the first week of October due to manufacturing issues, KitGuru says after talking to sources in China.

While it's pretty likely that Apple will reveal an iPad mini at some point, they may hold off for a bit and launch it next to an iPad 4, since they are both iPads. One thing is clear, KitGuru seems convinced that this thing is coming and that they will be relying on App sales to make them a profit.

Only time will tell as anything concerning Apple isn't official until it's launched. Luckily, we only have just under a month to find out if the market will soon see a new tablet joining its ranks.
