Thursday Evening Roundup - direct from the new barrow

| Posted: Oct 17, 2002 4:40 pm

I must apologize for the lack of news on my behalf lately. I've just moved house and it has kept me busy for the past while. As I sit in my new surroundings, I have a few items for you which may be of interest.

- First up our friends over at Sudhian have taken the Sapphire Radeon 9000 Atlantis for a joy ride. It's a cut down version of the Radeon 9700 designed to compete against nVidia's hugely popular Ti4200 chip.

- Next in line is the friendly chaps from Canadian website The Tech Zone seeing how far they can overclock a shiny new Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz. Add a spiffy liquid cooled case and DDR433 and you're in for some overclocking fun and success. The P4 is fairly scaleable, the answer to just how fassst they got it is just a click away .

- Chris and the gang from AMD Zone have tested out the latest watercooled rigs from Koolance. Specifically, they try out the PC2-601 and CPU-200 with an Athlon XP 2200+ powering the show.

We'll have more news for you shortly.
