Swiftech MCX462-U HSF Review @ Bit-Tech

By: (more) | Posted: Oct 6, 2002 1:42 am

Swiftech has managed to improve upon an already impressive CPU cooler, the MC462. They've managed to release a brand new version, called the MCX462-U. Looking like something out of a science fiction movie, it manages to cool even better than the previous MC462. It's new design also allows virtually any conventional 80MM fan to be used with it. I might actually consider getting one to see how it performs with my ThermalTake Smart Case Fan II!

In a nutshell, The MCX462 has a solid copper base with 371 aluminium pins and can be used with all current AMD and Intel processors . For mounting, it bolts to the motherboard using the four holes around the CPU as per AMD/Intel specification, and uses additional mounting brackets when used with Intel processors.
