I love Flipboard, I use it on my iPad and I think it's a perfect reading app. News today has arrived that Flipboard has floated over to Android. Flipboard was pre-installed on the Samsung GALAXY S III which had people thinking it would arrive baked onto the phone.

But, XDA forum member "Valcho" grabbed the APK off one of the GALAXY S III's at the launch event, and put it up to download here. So if you're rocking an Android-based device, grab the APK and get to it now!

Flipboard initially started off as a browser for Twitter and Facebook, but with the built-in support for Google Reader feeds, Flickr photos and other real-time media streams, it really is quite a powerful app. Now that it's arrived for Android, I can put it on my GALAXY S II and enjoy Flipboard when on the toilet. Yes, I'm one of those smartphone users.
