New AMD Mobile Processors
Today, AMD released two brand new Mobile processors. Featuring a .013 micron process, the 1900+, and 2000+ processors run at 1.6GHz and 1.67GHz respectively. Since these processors offer increased mobility due to lower power consumption, I think it's a nice move up for the mobile community! Currently, Compaq is offering the 2000+ CPU's in their new Presario 900 series, and Fujitsu is offering them in their AMILO A 6600/7600 series laptops.
"AMD is focused on providing our notebook customers with exceptional mobile PC technology that gives them the freedom to stay connected and work from anywhere-at home, the office or while traveling around the world," said Ed Ellett, AMD vice president of Client Business. "Mobile AMD Athlon XP processors combine outstanding performance and true mobility features to deliver versatility and expand customer choices for people on the go."More information at AMD Press Releases.
